At Showdigs, we're constantly looking for ways to make property showings more efficient without compromising security. We're thrilled to announce our integration with Igloo, a partnership that brings enterprise-grade smart lock technology to your self-showing workflow.

Why Smart Locks Matter for Self-Showings

Traditional lockbox solutions have served the industry for years, but they come with inherent security risks. Shared codes can be passed around, physical keys can be copied, and there's limited accountability once access is granted.

Smart locks change the equation entirely. With our Igloo integration, every prospect receives a unique access code that's valid only during their scheduled showing time (plus a small buffer). Once their tour window closes, the code expires automatically. No reuse, no sharing, no unauthorized access.

How It Works

The integration is designed for simplicity. If you already have an IglooWorks account, connecting it to Showdigs takes just a few clicks:

1. Navigate to Settings > Integrations in your Showdigs dashboard
2. Click "Connect Igloo account" and enter your credentials
3. Your Igloo devices (both deadbolts and keyboxes) automatically sync to Showdigs
4. Assign devices to properties from your Devices page or during the showing setup flow

That's it. From there, Showdigs handles code generation, distribution, and expiration automatically.

Security Built In

Every tour generates a fresh access code that's logged in both Showdigs and your IglooWorks account. This creates a complete audit trail—you always know who accessed your property and when. And because codes are time-restricted, there's no risk of prospects returning unauthorized or sharing access with others.

The Self-Showing Experience

For prospects, the experience is seamless. They receive their unique code via text before their showing, use it to unlock the door during their scheduled time, and complete their tour independently. The code stops working as soon as their window closes.

It's the perfect balance: prospects get the flexibility they want, and you maintain complete control over property access.
